Did you know there are still places that don’t have sandwich bread?  They don’t have traditional American ovens and they still cook flatbreads over fire.  Other places still have thick, crusty artisinal bread and have to use a panini press just to make the sandwich fit in your mouth.  My favorite bread is a sweet, whole wheat bread or a sourdough.  But regardless of bread choice, I have chosen to focus on higher protein sandwiches to keep my blood sugar balanced.

This is one of three sections I ended up with in my lunch categories.  They are: 1). Lunches you cook, 2). Sandwiches and 3). Salad’s & Dressings.

Here are the second section’s recipes:

  1. Honey, Chicken Club
  2. Chicken Salad
  3. Grilled Cheese
  4. Ham and Cheese
  5. Tuna Melt
  6. Egg Salad

I have our entire 5 Week Meal Plan here.

Here is the picture I use for my “Sandwiches” divider page in case you want one too.

(Each picture will take you to that specific recipe.  Save each recipe image.  I like to print them and keep them in a three ring binder with plastic sleeves and divider tabs.)

I have also created a KITCHEN BASICS GUIDE for young women.  If you are starting to build up your kitchen supplies, don’t waste your money on sets.  Just get the best of the basics.
