Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. Matthew 7:24-25 KJV

In a world where spiritually things seem to get darker and darker, there are some lights that may seem small but they seem so bright.

To me, those lights are young people and young people who are building their life on the foundation of the Bible.  That is why I posted this picture of Rick and I when we were first married, because I remember when one of my older-wisers said to me, “Melissa, it is such an encouragement to see your thirst for the Bible as a young married couple.”  I understand that now.

Just when they could walk away from God and “do their own thing” instead they get involved in church ministry and are surrounding themselves with other people who are doing the same.

They bring me hope.  They urge me to keep going.  They remind me that God is still working.  I consider them friends in the battle against evil.  So, to those who build their foundation on the rock of God’s word … thank you for inspiring me.
