Authors - Mandy & Krista - Truth and Song

Mandy St. Clair & Krista Callaway are best friends.  They truly have an iron-sharpening-iron, close-knit friendship that you rarely find anymore.  While they are nearly identical in beliefs and values their lives are completely different which provides a perfect balance for our Book Recommendations.

Mandy St. Clair

Mandy lives in two worlds.  She lives in Orovada, Nevada during the week and home schools her children while her family farms hundreds of acres on the most serene landscape you can imagine.  She travels several hours every weekend to and from their home in Treasure Valley, Idaho to be part of our home church.  Consequently she has many hours of drive time to listen to audio books and spends quiet time during the week reading at their farm.

Mandy has the gift of hospitality and the first time I went to her home I realized that we had a kindred spirit when I entered into her library.  She had such a diversity of quality books and she had them arranged in a way that you felt you had entered into a chic bookstore.

I immediately started gathering books to borrow and have since been impressed time after time with the content of her choices as well as her commentaries and insight.  When I was thinking of a guest contributor, I immediately thought of her for our Book Recommendations.

Krista Callaway

Krista has such an amazing story.  She and I are the same age and yet she has always been someone whom I have admired and looked to for advice.

She became a single mother at 16 and ended up surrendering her life to the Lord shortly after.  She is such an inspiration in that she lived small, worked from home and home schooled her son all the way through graduation.

As if God’s grace in that situation was not amazing enough, she also has been an example of a godly lady who strives to grow closer to God and trust Him like those holy women of old in the Bible.  She reminds me a little bit of the prophetess Anna who just wanted the Lord and to serve Him daily.

Her dedication, Christian soldier mentality, and desire to grow in the Lord has caused her to have a wealth of information in regards to books, the Bible and day-to-day wisdom.  We are privileged to have her as one of our contributing authors.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
